At the heart of Chateau du Parc's history

Built in the 16th century by Henri 1st de Montmorency, the Château du Parc is one of the oldest estates in Pézenas. Standing on a hill on the edge of the commune of Caux, the estate reveals its natural charm and elegance, with its main house featuring three slate-covered turrets, its monumental 15th-century fireplace, its chapel (dating from 1900) and its 70-hectare park. A stone wall, 3 meters high and 4 km long, protects the whole. It is the second largest wall in France, after that of the Château de Chambord. Vines were first planted here in the 18th century. It was Charles l'Épine who developed the wine estate. In 1990, Parc l'Épine was one of the forerunners of its time, with the first organically grown vines. Today, a new future is opening up.

With the development of 15 exceptional ecolodge gîtes and the upgrading of its 70-hectare park, the Château du Parc reconciles history, the lifestyle of a château and environmental respect. For 6 centuries, the Château du Parc has preserved its charm of yesteryear. Inside, the large rooms opening onto the courtyard and park have been preserved to offer you all the comfort you need, while preserving your privacy. The renovation of the site has been conceived as part of a global approach centered on respect for nature and the site's rich heritage: historical, natural and landscape.

Our 15 luxury cottages offer spacious, bright, fully-equipped spaces that open out onto the magnificent 70-hectare Mediterranean forest. Entering one of our 15 exceptional cottages is a journey in itself... All have been customized by our interior designer Elfi Faure to welcome you in simple and welcoming luxury.

Some of our exceptional cottages have private spas. Alone in the world, immerse yourself in warm, enveloping water, as you wish. Enjoy a relaxing bath for a timeless moment of intimacy.

To the west of the Château, close to the majestic pine trees, the magnificent 20-meter Bali stone swimming corridor (open from May to October) is the ideal place to relax and swim amid the scents of the Mediterranean. On the pool terrace, sunbeds are available for sunbathing. Sofas dotted around the hundred-year-old pine trees provide a comfortable setting for enjoying a cup of coffee, tea, fruit juice or a glass of wine.

Alone or as a couple, enjoy our Alina sauna, which has a number of benefits for the body: improving the immune system and respiratory system, eliminating toxins, relieving muscular pain and improving blood circulation. Don't forget to book your free time slot.

Bike Rides

We provide electric bicycles to enable our guests to explore the paths and the different atmospheres of the forest. With its 2 hectares of gardens and parkland, surrounded by a magnificent natural landscape of 70 hectares of oak, pine and vineyards, the Chateau du Parc is the ideal place to reconnect with nature. You can also visit the charming village of Caux, just 3 km away, with its church and shops selling quality local produce. Or discover Pézenas, the city of Molière with its Tuscan touch. For cyclists, the Chateau du Parc is very close to the MTB Circuit N°9 “Le Pays de Caux” and to the “Grande Traversée du Massif Central”.

These rooms have been specially designed to accommodate large families and groups of friends. With a double room on the one hand, and rooms with single beds on the other, you can stay as a group while retaining your own living space. Take advantage of this unique setting, where nature reigns supreme, and you'll find a setting that's conducive to conviviality, sharing, relaxation and pleasure.

Small pets are welcome on the estate. A supplement of €15 per day per pet will be charged. It is essential to inform us of their presence when you make your reservation. We ask you to keep them on a lead within the grounds of Château du Parc and to pick up any droppings.
